Yesil, 18, was plucked from Bayer Leverkusen last month for a fee believed to be in the region of £1 million and was expected to be a development player.
But with Liverpool short of striking options following the departures of Andy Caroll and Dirk Kuyt over the summer, manager Brendan Rodgers could choose to rotate his squad and give Yessil his bow.

Yesil, 18, has represented Germany at Under-16, U-17 and U-18 level and will join the club's youth ranks after passing his medical.
"The first thing is that I have to train and then in one or two years I hope, step by step, to be in the first team," he told the Liverpool website. "It is my dream to play for Liverpool and I will give my all."
The German hit six goals for his country at the U-17 World Cup last summer, finishing second top scorer.
